Wes Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wesley “Wes” Alan Johnson of Arcadia, MO, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the age of 61 years, 7 months, and 3 days. He was born October 14, 1960, in Rawlings, WY, to the late Wallace and Hattie Johnson. On April 7, 1990, Wes was united in marriage to Shelly Savage, and to this union a son, Jason Johnson was born. Surviving Wes are his wife Shelly Johnson, their son Jason Johnson of St. Louis, MO, a son Jon Johnson and wife Stacey of Old Fort, NC, a brother Kevin Johnson and wife Cheryl of French Village, MO, a half-sister Peggy Paullin of Iowa, four grandchildren, Tristan, Ava, Sophia, and Olivia, a nephew Tristan, a niece Kaci, and many, many more loving family members and friends. Wes is preceded in rest by his parents Wally and Hattie Johnson, and a sister Alice Johnson. Wes graduated from Arcadia Valley High School and attended machinist training at Unitech in Bonne Terre, MO. After working on his trade skills, he went on to work for the Trimfoot company for several years. He also worked for the Brown Shoe company, and then most notably, he worked 13 years as a custodian for the Arcadia Valley School district. He also was the custodian for Cole Family Funeral Home. Wes enjoyed deer hunting, he loved cheering on the St. Louis Blues and A.V. Tigers, he was proud to watch his sons excel in everything they do; he loved helping people and loved his family and friends. He always worked hard at whatever he did and didn’t cut corners. He took pride in doing his job to the best of his ability, and most of all, he loved his wife Shelly with all of his heart and more. Wes always smiled when he saw you and always had a fun and interesting story to tell. His heart was pure, his laugh was infectious, and his personality was wonderful and kind. Wes will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. A Visitation period for friends to come together will be Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Cole Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for Wes will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 4:00 pm at the Cole Family Funeral Home. Immediately following the services there will be a reception/dinner held at the A.V.
