Talma Eugene Anderson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Talma Eugene Anderson of Pilot Knob Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 20th, at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 10 days. Gene, as he was lovingly known, was born July 10th, 1930 in Sabula Missouri, to the late Abarm and Emily England Anderson and he was 1 of 18 children. On April 24th, 1964, Gene was united in marriage to Wilma Martin who survives. In this union, they raised two children together, Bill Dean Anderson and Eugenia Dale Watson. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Eugenia, four brothers; Alvin, Gerald, William Otto, and Glen Anderson, and seven sisters; Anna Belle, Alta, Betty, Reda, Glenda, Leota, and Mary. Gene is survived by a son, Bill Dean Anderson of Ellsburry, MO, two brothers; Norman of Little Rock, AR and Gary Dean Anderson of Concordia, MO, four sisters; Daisy Coats of Licking, MO, Bernice “Gracie” Bredhofft of Concordia, MO, Muriel Hall of Rincon, GA, and Donna Drak of Lamontte, MO, three grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and countless friends and other family members. Gene served his country with pride and honor in the United States Army, and was proud of that his entire life. He also worked as a saw mill operator, police chief in Concordia, a rabies officer, a school bus driver and mechanic, and in 2004 he became an ordained minister. He was a proud member of the VFW, and a faithful lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Pilot Knob. Funeral services for Gene will be held Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at 1:00pm, from the Cole Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, October 24th, 2015 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Cole Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton. Rev. Tom Conboy and Rev. Scott Edgar will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob Building Fund.
