Ron Bales Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ronald “Ron” Bales of Ironton, MO entered into rest on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 17 days. He was born September 4, 1957, in Ironton, MO to the late William “Bill” Benny and Margie Alean (Thurman) Bales. Ron is survived by his three daughters, Crystal Swaringam and husband Tim of Ironton, MO, Kayla Boyd and husband Ryan of Farmington, MO, and Courtney Thomlinson formerly of Ironton, MO; five grandchildren, Chandler Swaringam, Trevor Swaringam, Dayton Boyd, Kinsley Thomlinson, and Addilynn Bloom; his ex-wife and mother to Crystal and Kayla, Vickie Kennedy, and many more loving family members and friends. He is preceded in rest by his parents, three brothers, Billy Bales, Robert Lee “Bobby” Bales, and Donald Ray “Donny” Bales; and the mother of Courtney, Karen Thomlinson. After high school, Ron went to technical school in Sikeston, MO, earning several certificates and certifications in auto mechanics and auto repair. With his training he was able to provide and care for his family and follow one of his passions. Along with having a passion for auto mechanics and fixing up vehicles, he also loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles, his classic rock, and his family. Ron was a member of the Grace Christian Fellowship church in Arcadia, MO, and the Arcadia Valley Eagles Lodge. Ron was Ron, he could be harsh, stern, and opinionated, or loving, caring, and soft-spoken. He would show he cared about you in different ways, but his heart was always full of love for those he cared about. He will be missed by all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by all who loved him. A Visitation will be held for friends and family on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, beginning at 4:00 pm and lasting until 7:00 pm from the Cole Family Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022, beginning at 7:00 pm from the Cole Family Chapel. A private family interment will be held at a later date in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton, MO. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a memorial contribution to St. Jude’s Cancer Research.
