Jacquelyn Sue Parmer of Farmington, MO, formerly of Ironton, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 5 days. She was born in Pilot Knob, MO on October 30, 1938 to the late Lyman “Jack” Bates and Daisy Harbison Pryor. On September 23, 1957 Jacque was united in marriage to Ronald Leslie Parmer who preceded her in death on January 19, 2000. To this union, three beautiful daughters were born; Cynthia Demand who preceded Jacque in death on June 5, 2014, and husband Mike of Arcadia, MO, Penny Turner and husband Allan of Pataskala, OH, and Leslie Parmer and fiancée Jim Braun of Decatur, AL. Jacquelyn, or “Nana” as she was lovingly known by her family, is survived by two daughters, Penny Turner and Leslie Parmer, six grandchildren, Jennifer MacDonald and husband Dan, David Demand and wife Rachel, Josh Turner and wife Kelli, Matthew Turner and wife Amber, Erin Davis and husband Brent, and Nicholas Newsom; seven great-grandchildren, Rylynn, Sawyer, Raylee, Emelynn, Reed, Wyatt, and Jane; a sister-in-law, Willadean Pryor, a son-in-law, Mike Demand, her close and special friends Carolyn Schroer, Jeanette Dahlke, Margaret Hennessey, Jean Mueller, Maxine Gilliam, Mary Ann Kraft, Shirley Neuman, JoAnn Schaper, and many more loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Daisy, a brother, Dallas Eugene “Gene” Pryor, her husband, Ron Parmer, and a daughter, Cindy Demand. Jacquelyn graduated from Ironton High School in 1956 and had many different job titles including a homemaker where she raised her daughters and took care of the family home, office secretary for several different offices, and was instrumental in running their business, Parmer Photography for several years. She was also a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Ironton and loved getting to spend time and socializing with all of her family and friends. A Life Celebration in honor of Jacque will be held at the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park on Friday, June 9, at 1:00pm under the direction of the Cole Family Funeral Home.
