Earl Hudson Rice Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Earl Hudson Rice of Roselle, MO passed away Sept. 22, 2014 at this residence, at the age of 94 years, 8 months, and 21 days. He was born Dec. 31, 1919 in Roselle, a son of the late Marvin Hudson and Esther Cornelius Rice (nee Tesreau). On Feb. 18, 1938 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Hicks who survives. To this union was born three children; Joy Robbs and husband Ernest of Muscatine, Iowa, Charles Hudson Rice and wife Cheri of Independence, MO, and Don Rice and wife Sharon of Farmington. Other survivors include two sisters, Gladys McCallum of Farmington, and Ruby Belleville of St. Louis, 8 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers; James, Harold, Jack and Tom, and two sisters, Hazel Brown, and Pearl Inman. Mr. Rice worked many years for Brown Shoe Company as Assistant Plant Engineer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 11 AM from Cole Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Buford officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Thursday Morning. Interment will be in the Graniteview Cemetery with a luncheon following at Bethany United Baptist church.
