Donna Ann Pruett

February 16, 1961 - February 14, 2022

Donna Ann Pruett of Bismarck, MO passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the age of 60 years, 11 months, and 29 days. She was born February 16, 1961 in Farmington, MO to the late Donald and Patsy Bates. On July 28, 1979 Donna was united in marriage to David Pruett who survives. This long, loving relationship began in the fourth grade and will continue until the end of time. To this marriage two sons were born, Danny Pruett and wife Nicole who survive, and a son David Michael Pruett who passed away at birth. Also surviving Donna are five grandchildren, Lex-lyn, Brantley, Kalum, Zoe, and Daxton, two brothers Richard Bates and wife Liz, and Terry Bates and companion Roxie, two aunts Rita Birch and Theresa Benton, a brother-in-law Daniel Pruett, and a host of other loving family members and friends. Donna is preceded in rest by her son David, two brothers James and Mike Bates, and a sister Janet Kimbrough. For the whole life of their relationship, she and David did everything together, from working the Forestry Department, to traveling, and everything in between, they were always side-by-side. They were the true definition of a loving marriage and partnership. For 21 years Donna worked for the Rockwood School District where she worked in janitorial services and in childcare. She was a member of the Missouri Forestry Department in the 1970's where she was once stationed at Czar Tower. Donna and her family attended the Bismarck Assembly of God. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM at Cole Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday 18, 2022 at 01:00 PM at Cole Family Chapel. Pastor Michael Barton, Jr. will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made to the family to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
