David Phillip Myers of Ironton, MO passed away at his home on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 23 days. He was born April 1, 1944 in Martinsville, IN, a son of James Ralph Baker and Eva Easton. On February 20, 1965 David was united in marriage to Tarrie Wadlow who survives. To this union three children were born; Bobbye Myers and Regina Stone who survive, and a son Anthony Myers who passed in infancy. In addition to his wife Tarrie and his daughters, David is survived by a brother Michael Myers of Martinsville, IN, two sisters Diana Daniels of AZ and Mary Lou Striker of TN, eight grandchildren; Deseray, Charlotte, Phillip, Dylan, Mallory, Dakota, Eric, and Sarah, eleven great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Anthony, a brother Gary Myers, and a sister Paula Jines. David served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War, and worked many years as a truck driver afterwards, retiring in 2012. While working for Penske Trucking he became the Service and Operations Manager and held that position for many years. He and Tarrie are also members of Grace Christian Fellowship. David was a model train collector, and a C.B. and Hamm radio enthusiast. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 beginning at 11:00 am from the Cole Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will follow the services with full Military Honors in the Wadlow Cemetery. Elder Mark Sutton will be officiating the services.
