Cynthia Ellen Demand of Arcadia, MO passed away June 5, 2014 in St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 57. She was born Oct. 1, 1956 in Ironton, MO, a daughter of Ronald and Jacquelyn Harbison Parmer. On May 10, 1975 she was united in marriage to Michael Demand, who survives. To this union was born two children; Jennifer MacDonald and husband Dan of Jacksonville, NC, and David Demand and wife Rachel of Herculaneum, MO. Also surviving are her mother, Jacquelyn Parmer of Farmington, two sisters, Penny Turner of Raleigh, NC, and Leslie Parmer of Ironton, MO, her mother in law Eugenia Demand, 4 grandchildren, Rylynn, Raylee, Reed and Jane, 8 nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Parmer. Cynthia was a 1975 graduate of Arcadia Valley High School, attended Ste. Marie Du Lac Catholic Church, and for many years wrote the AV Alumni Colum in the Mountain Echo. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9 at 7 pm from Cole Family Funeral Home, with Father Jim Unterreiner officiating. Visitation will begin Monday at 5 PM. Memorials may be made to the Lymphoma – Leukemia Society (LLS.org) or the St. Vincent De Paul Society at Ste. Marie Du Lac. On line condolences may be made at www.colefamilyfuneralhomes.com.
