Butch Callahan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Butch Callahan of Ironton passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 87 Years, and 1 Day. He was born on February 14, 1935 in Esther, MO, a son of the late Theodore and Lessie Umfleet Callahan. Surviving are a daughter; Vicky Reichert and husband Rob of Arcadia, MO; three granddaughters Becky Loenneke and husband Danny, and Sarah Ebert and husband Ande both of Jackson, MO, and Alison Erpenbach and husband Todd of Arcadia; six great grandchildren, Oliva, Grant, Will, Blake, Emma and Sam, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Rose Callahan Hicks. For many years Butch owned and operated Arcadia Sporting Goods. He served as Fire Chief of the Pilot Knob Fire Protection Dist. for over 20 years. He was a charter member of the Arcadia Valley Elks, the Arcadia Valley Lions Club, Arcadia Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Ozark Mountain Gobblers Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. In the early 1980's he was instrumental in starting the 4th of July fireworks display in the Arcadia Valley. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cole Family Funeral Home A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM from Cole Family Chapel with Elder Mark Sutton officiating. Interment will be at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park Memorials are requested to Arcadia Valley Backpack Impact.
