Timon Roy Anderson

Timon Roy Anderson of Bonne Terre, MO, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 13 days. He was born October 11, 1945, in Rector, Arkansas, to the late Timon Marion and Dortha Viola (Chronister) Anderson. Timon is survived by his two daughters, Karen Long of De Soto, MO, and Dottie Anderson of Park Hills, MO, three grandchildren, Chandi, Cody, and Brittany; seven great-grandchildren, Kylie, Shian, Chantal, Colton, Josie, Maxine, and Layla; four brothers, Tom Anderson and wife Beth of Pilot Knob, MO, Ted Anderson and wife Denise of Pilot Knob, MO, Terry Anderson and wife Viola of Middlebrook, MO, and Tim Anderson and wife Sherry of New Douglas, IL; two sisters, Jane Hurt of Middlebrook, MO, and Ellen Womble and husband Herman of Pilot Knob, MO; his loving companion of more than 20 years Shirley Taylor, and many more loving family members and friends. He is preceded in rest by his parents and two sisters, Edna Anderson and Gail Anderson. Timon served his country in the United States Army with pride and honor. After his time in the United States Army, Timon worked for many years, and retired from the Farmington Correctional Center where he worked as a corrections officer. He loved playing checkers (he was a master checkers player), spending time with his family and friends, and reading his Bible. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Timon Roy Anderson will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him. A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, beginning at 5:00 PM and lasting until 8:00 PM at Cole Family Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM at Cole Family Chapel. Interment will follow the services in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Pastor Larry Booth will be officiating the services.
