Susan "Sue" Darlene Mounce

Susan "Sue" Darlene Mounce, of Ironton, MO, entered into rest with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the age of 69 years, 9 months, and 18 days. She was born August 9, 1955, in Ironton, MO, a daughter of the late Jesse and Kornellie (Nelson) Tyndall. On June 30, 1973, Sue, as she was lovingly known, was united in marriage to Bernie Mounce who survives. To this union three sons were born, Scott Mounce and wife Dawn of Ironton, MO, T.J. Mounce of Ironton, MO, and Ben Mounce of Ironton, MO, all of whom survive. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Peyton McLaughlin and husband Connor of Des Moines, IA, Dustin Mounce and wife Madison of Chloride, MO, Alan Courtway of Ironton, MO, Justine Mounce of Park Hills, MO, Kylee Mounce of Park Hills, MO, Amanda Mounce of Park Hills, MO, Kalie Mounce of Bismarck, MO, and Jaidyne Mounce of Ironton, MO; one great-grandchild Noah McLaughlin, three brothers, Tom Tyndall and wife Judy of Middlebrook, MO, Mike Tyndall and wife Machelle of Middlebrook, MO, and Don Tyndall and wife Aleta of Kensett, AR; two sisters, Patricia and husband Dr. Raul Tarazi of Arizona, and Cecile Balding and husband Harvey of Florida, two brothers-in-law, Jay Sisk of Kensett, AR and Paul Miller of Searcy, AR, and many more loving family members and friends. Sue is preceded in rest by her parents, two brothers, Richard Tyndall and James Tyndall, and two sisters, Carol Sisk and Theresa Miller. Sue had a life filled with a lot of hard work, an abundance of love, and blessed with family and friends. She worked hard throughout her life; working in factories such as the Brown Shoe Company and the Trimfoot Company, and then finding her true calling as a bus driver for Arcadia Valley Schools for many years until her “retirement”. Her retirement consisted of driving buses for Arcadia Valley, taking care of grandchildren, traveling with Bernie and the family, and enjoying each day she had with her family. Sue was a member of the Silver Mines Baptist Church, and as a child was a member of Job’s Daughters. Sue Mounce was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home. A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am and lasting until 1:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow the services in the Pilot Knob Cemetery. Pastor Brad Crocker will be officiating the services.
