Pat Stevens

Pat Stevens, of Annapolis, MO, entered into Heaven on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 28 days. She was born August 9, 1952, a daughter of the late Nick and Diamond (Huff) Mickan. On September 26, 1970, Pat was united in marriage to Randall Stevens who survives. To this union two children were born, Randy Stevens and wife Melinda of Annapolis, MO, and Julie Price of Annapolis, MO, all of whom survive. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Cody and wife Sarah, Ericka and husband Markus, Brandon, and Levi; three added grandchildren, Jon, Danilynn, and Tyler; five great-grandchildren, Sadie, Cade, Nolan, Paige, and Maverick; two brothers, Roy Mickan and wife Ellen, and Ronnie Mickan and wife Rhonda, three sisters, Virginia Whited and husband Dale, Dian Mickan, and Vicky Browers and husband Rusty; and many more loving nieces, nephews, family members, church family, and friends. Pat is preceded in rest by her parents, a brother Rodger in infancy, and a sister Diamie Browers. As a child, Pat attended South Iron school and unbeknown to her, her life had a plan. One of the first important moments was meeting her future husband, Randall, in the third grade. They were friends all through school, and finally during their senior year, they fell in love. Once they were married, their life together became one; they became one love, one mind, one being. Pat worked several jobs to help support their growing family, two being at the Brown Shoe company and for a home health care company. She greatly enjoyed her role in home health due to her love for the elderly, she took care of them as if they were her own family. Pat also played an important role in Randall’s life. She taught him how to love, how to truly love, and that led to him being Saved and Baptized, she was the reason for this. Those lessons she taught Randall led their life together to a life in the ministry. Pat became more than just a typical preacher’s wife, she became a counselor to many ladies and people in the church and outside the church, she became a VBS teacher, she became a driver for when Randall went to meet and pray with people sick at home or in the hospital, she became a piano player for church and for their family’s singing group, and there are many other roles and positions Pat took on while serving the Lord while in church. She didn’t belong to any “official” clubs, but the church was her club! Pat was a past member of several churches, and a current member of the First Baptist Church of Ironton, MO. Pat was a loving and devoted mother, the kind all mothers stive to be. She was dependable and honest; she could always be counted on by those who needed her love or advice. She put everyone above herself; if she was in pain, she was asking how YOU were and not letting on how much she hurt. She was Randall’s anchor; when he needed that little bit of spoken or unspoken encouragement, she was there with a soft shoulder rub, a smile, or just the right words to lift him up. She was the definition of what a loving mother is supposed to be, what a loving wife is supposed to be, and what a Christian is supposed to be. The world may be a little sadder and darker now that Pat has left us, but that means Heaven is so much happier and brighter with her there, and we have more of a reason to make it there. Pat Stevens was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am from the Cole Family Chapel. A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, beginning at 5:00 pm and lasting until 8:00 pm from the Cole Family Chapel. Interment will follow the services in the Huff Cemetery in Annapolis, MO. Bro. Derick Mickan will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ironton's Food Pantry.
