Martha Marie Harrison

Martha Marie Harrison, of Arcadia, MO, entered into Heaven on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 90 years, 9 months, and 26 days. She was born March 8, 1934, to the late William Thomas and Ruth Denby (Boswell) Pratt. On September 28, 1991, Martha was united in marriage to Kenneth Harrison who survives. Also surviving are four children, Ronnie Warren and wife Paula of Hogan, MO, Ruth Williamson and husband Richard of Doe Run, MO, Rick Warren and wife Kelli of Arcadia, MO, and Vicky Hayes of Ironton, MO; five step-children, Tim Harrison of Warrenton, MO, Pamela LaChance and husband Bob of Ironton, MO, Deron Harrison, Chad Harrison and wife Stephanie of Ironton, MO, and Angela Shleef of Wentzville, MO; 12 grandchildren, Scotty, Suzi, Amy Jo, Chris, Walker, Gabe, Jamese, Abe, Andrew, Tabitha, Tara, and Kevin; 28 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, one sister Ada Mae Sherrill, and many more loving family members and friends. Martha is preceded in rest by her parents, a granddaughter, Erin, three brothers, Bill Pratt, Bob Pratt, and Lewis Pratt; and seven sisters, Nettie Kries, Wilma Coad, Mamie Lewis, Mary Lucille Markham, Ellen Thomlinson, Marion Clinard, and Marjorie Ann White-Swafford. For many years Martha worked in the pharmacy and as a Med-Tech for the Baptist Home in Ironton, and was also involved in moving patients from the old building to the new building when the project was complete. After her shift at the Baptist Home was complete, she would continue her work at the Pilot Knob Hospital, serving patients and helping wherever she was needed. She also worked at the cap factory in Ellington in her early years. As a young lady, Martha was saved in the name of Jesus Christ, and until it’s closing, was a member of the Glover Baptist Church. Martha loved her family deeply; she was very proud to be a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and would decorate and celebrate like no one else! Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am from the Cole Family Funeral Home. A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, beginning at 5:00 pm and lasting until 8:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home.
