Floyd Delian Ford

Floyd Delian Ford of Annapolis, MO, entered into rest on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the age of 80 years, 7 months, and 6 days. He was born March 15, 1943, in Brunot, MO to the late Delian and Leota Elizabeth (Rayfield) Ford. On August 20, 1965, Floyd was united in marriage to Barbara Ann (Bryant) Ford who preceded him in rest on August 4, 2016. To this union a daughter, Lucy Alcorn, was born. Surviving Floyd are his daughter, Lucy Alcorn and husband Mike of Annapolis, MO, two grandchildren, David Alcorn and wife Lauren of Ringgold, GA, and Chad Alcorn and significant other Erin Tully of Westminster, CO, two great-grandchildren, Caden and Harper Alcorn, a sister Linda Kemp of Annapolis, MO, and many more loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Floyd is preceded in rest by his parents Delian and Leota Ford, and his loving wife Barbara Ann Ford. For many years Floyd worked for the ISP/SGI company where he retired 25 years ago as a Foreman. Floyd was a very hard worker and did so with pride as he supported his family. In his younger years, Floyd was a member of the Lions Club in Reynolds County, and in recent months, Floyd was Saved in the name of Jesus Christ. Floyd had a life full of love, time with family and friends, and excitement as he supported his South Iron Panthers. He loved his community and just as anyone from Annapolis, he was always there for people in their time of need. Floyd D. Ford will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am from the Cole Family Chapel. Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, beginning at 5:00 pm and lasting until 8:00 pm from the Cole Family Chapel. Interment will follow the services in the Annapolis Cemetery. Bro. Mitchell Bryant and Bro. Joe Dean will be officiating the services.
